Grahan: The Plot Summary

The series begins in 2016, when Amrita Singh (Zoya Hussain) is about to resign from her job as a police officer and move to Canada with her fiancé. However, her plans are disrupted when she is assigned to head a special investigation team that is probing the 1984 riots cases. She is shocked to learn that one of the prime suspects is her own father, Gursevak Singh (Pawan Malhotra), who was a journalist in Bokaro during the riots. Amrita decides to stay back and find out the truth about her father's role in the violence.

The series then shifts to 1984, where we see a tender love story between Rishi Ranjan (Anshumaan Pushkar), a Hindu boy, and Manu (Wamiqa Gabbi), a Sikh girl, who belong to different castes and religions.
